With a shortage of planners Barker Parry has looked to grow their own. When Holly Butrimas-Gair joined us in May 2021 she expressed a desire to progress from technical support to being a planner. BPTP have supported Holly’s educational journey as she embarked upon the L4 RTPI Assistant Town Planner Apprenticeship.
With experience of working for a London Planning Practice and in Local Authority Planning Admin, Holly’s base knowledge has been a huge asset for our team of consultants, this has only been enhanced by the knowledge she has gained from undertaking the Apprenticeship course.
In recognition (and somewhat reluctantly as who can replace exceptional technical support!) Barker Parry have promoted Holly to an Assistant Planner position.
Apprenticeships require commitment from the whole team to ensure the student has exposure to the right level of experience to fulfil the requirements of the course, but with the right candidate it is of benefit to the team and the person.
Holly is a prime example, she is not just fulfilling her work dream of becoming a planner but is a huge asset to BPTP.
We look forward to supporting Holly in her new role, which we have no doubt she we fulfil more than capably, and watching her grow as a planner and part of the consultant side of the business.
Well done Holly and thank you for your commitment and hard work.
