For major housing developments (schemes of over 9 dwellings, 0.5ha in site area, or 1000sqm of floorspace), a scheme will be required to deliver a percentage of affordable housing on site. The percentage required will vary between Local Authorities.
Sometimes off-site contributions for affordable housing may be possible.
