We found Barker Parry to be crucial when acting on our behalf to prevent a neighbour building a one and a half height extension.
We were initially approached by our neighbours with their plans and whilst we have good relations and discussed, whereby we highlighted the difference in levels which would further exaggerate the height, the close proximity, impact on light and amenity, they decided to go ahead with their planning application unaltered. We therefore contacted Liz Fitzgerald at Barker Parry and discussed our concerns.
Liz was able to explain the factors involved and was able to put forward a cohesive and forthright planning objection on our behalf. The objection was fully accepted by the council’s planners and the application was refused.
Had the consent been given, the extension would have had a huge detrimental effect on our ability to enjoy our home and its subsequent saleability, therefore, we are hugely grateful to Barker Parry for championing our cause so successfully.
